你就是困住自己的那座山:終結自我破壞,實現自我控制 cover

You live in a world that keeps telling you to follow your heart, trust your instincts, quit your job, and do what you love. However, it can be frustrating if you don’t know where to start. If you start to wonder what you want to do with your life, what you really mean is that you don’t know who you are.

Finding your purpose doesn't necessarily mean realizing you're destined to live in a temple or dedicate your life to a career or purpose. Your purpose is not a job, a relationship, or even a career field. Your first mission in life is to be here. Your presence changes the world in ways you can't see. Absolutely nothing will be the same without you. This is important to understand, because if you start to believe that your whole purpose in life is to have a job or a role in your family, what happens when you leave your job or retire, or when your children grow up and you're no longer a parent?

You will be depressed because you mistakenly believe that is the only reason for your existence.

Your goal today may be to bring a smile to someone's face when they are at their lowest. Your goal for the next ten years may be the job you are doing now. When you realize that you are always influencing the world around you, you will begin to realize that the most important thing to live a meaningful life is to change yourself. Consciously become the happiest, kindest, and most kindest version of yourself.

Knowing your purpose doesn’t necessarily mean that life will be smooth sailing from now on, or that you’ll always know what to do. In fact, when you’re really on your own path in life, the future won’t be clear, because if it is, then you’re actually following someone else’s life blueprint.

That being said, when most people talk about wanting to know their purpose, they're usually referring to their life's work and career. Your career isn't a niche, it's what you do most days, if not every day, of your life. Because of this, figuring out how you can make a greater difference in the world can make the long days and hard times a little easier.

Your life purpose is the intersection of your skills, interests, and markets.

You are the blueprint for your future. Everything about you, everything you've experienced, everything you're good at, every situation you've been in, everything you're passionate about, is not accidental; it reflects who you are and what you are here to do.
