According to Wang, the two energies are yin and yang; the five elements are gold, wood, water, fire, and earth; the seasons are spring, summer, autumn, and winter; and the land is Ji, Qing, Yan, Xu, Yang, Jing, Liang, Yong, and Yu. The sky has yin and yang, which run in the four seasons; the earth has the five elements, which are present in the nine states. This is exactly what Zhu Zi said: the five elements are present in the earth, and the energy runs in the sky. Therefore, the sky has spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and the earth has gold, wood, water, and fire, all of which are used according to the time and the land.
