Man follows the Earth, the Earth follows Heaven, Heaven follows the Dao, and the Dao follows Nature. Man following the Earth means that man is bound by the laws and regulations of the place he stands on. The Earth following Heaven means that the Earth is bound by the laws and regulations of Heaven. Heaven following the Dao means that Heaven is bound by the laws and regulations of the Dao. The Dao following Nature does not mean that the Dao is bound by the laws and regulations of nature; rather, it means that the Dao imitates nature, and nature is all the natural laws and regulations of the universe! Who can understand this?
