戒急戒躁 cover
The Buddha said that impatience is a heavy form of negative energy; it reveals how poor a person's composure is. Before the matter even arrives, the mind is already in turmoil, resulting in increasing anxiety and confusion, ultimately taking one further away from the goal. When people are anxious, their IQ essentially drops to zero; only by stabilizing their emotions can their intelligence have a chance to shine. Haste makes waste, composure brings peace, and slow speech brings wisdom; only by avoiding haste and impatience can one achieve steady and long-term success.
